Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Last Friday night Joel and I decided to get out and do something fun. We heard that the Spokane Indians were in town, so we asked some friends if they wanted to join us, but they could not come. It ended up just being Joel and I, and it was really nice to have a date night (just the two of us).
We got to the ticket counter and found out that it was a sold out game. Joel and I waited around to see if anyone was going to try to sell their tickets. Joel saw an Indians Baseball employee standing at the front gate with a few tickets in his hand, so he walked up and asked if he could buy two of them, and the guy gave them to us for free. SCORE!!
It was $1 family feast night, so Joel bought himself dinner there. I cannot stomach those gross hotdogs, but Joel sure loved them. All and all...it was a cheap date on a Friday night.

The Indians lost...but we still had fun!

Oh, How Time Flies...

My brother Eric and his wife Jenny have this adorable kid -Maveric!
His smile is just the cutest thing. I thought that I would add some pictures of him to our blog.
It just amazes me how fast they grow.

(Maveric full of smiles and giggles)

OK... one of my favorite things is when little kids wear flip-flops. I love little kids feet and toes, and those tiny little shoes are just too cute.

This next picture is my favorite.

I could not figure out how to flip this picture, but it was too cute to leave out)
Thanks Jenny and Eric for having such a wonderful baby. We wish we lived closer so that we could visit you often and play with Maveric.
P.S.
Joel's sister Jill had a baby earlier this week (we will add pictures later because her little boy is still in the NICU. He is doing fine...just a little small) and they named him Gage. He weighed 4 pounds, but is doing great. When Joel and I were at the hospital visiting Jill, Joel made the comment ... "Always an Uncle, and Never a Dad". I guess we need to try a little harder at this baby thing. We don't want to make Joel too sad. ;)

Finally... "A Yard"

Joel has been working so hard on the house and yard this summer, and it is really starting to look great. I will say that I was a bit skeptical about the yard when Joel told me that he wanted to plant seed. I kept looking outside and saying that it looked like an old man's bald head - Just some fuzz here and there, but now it looks great. We told some family and friends that live far away that we would show pictures of our summer projects, so sorry to bore all of you that see us on a weekly basis.
