Babies and Birthdays

This last weekend we traveled to the Tri-cities to visit my brother Eric and his family. They added a new addition to their family one week ago, and we wanted to go see baby Simon. Joel and I were quite nervous to drive a long distance with Ava, because she absolutely hates being in the car. She surprised us though and did quite well. She only screamed a few times, and we only had to stop a few times to let her out of her seat.

Simon was adorable. He weighed exactly the same amount as Ava when she was born, and I could not believe how small he looked and felt. It is amazing how fast our little baby is growing. I cannot believe she is not a newborn anymore.
Here is a picture of Baby Simon and Ava.

Maveric was not feeling well, so I did not get any great pictures of him. Hopefully next time we see him he will be feeling better.
Also, this last weekend we celebrated my mom and brother David's birthdays. Here are some pictures of Ava and the birthday boy and girl.

It was a busy weekend - to say the least. But we had tons of fun being with family and loved ones.

Our sweet 2 month old

We took Ava in to get a few pictures taken on the day that she turned two months old (February 24, 2010). She hates the sound of cameras for some reason, so it is hard to catch her smile, or get her to smile if she can see the camera. But she is cute regardless if she is smiling or not. Here are just a few of her pictures. Joel and I think she is the cutest thing in the world. (We may be a little bias.)

What a Blessing...

Ava is such a blessing in our lives, and we enjoy her more and more each day.
Today Ava was blessed in church. Joel was so nervous, but he did such a great job. Ava did good too. Church is not her favorite thing lately, and Joel and I were nervous that she would scream through the whole thing, but she was completely quiet through the blessing. It was nice to have family and friends there to support her and us as well.
We just feel so blessed and have so much to be thankful for.
Here are a few pictures of the day, and of her dress.
