St. Patrick's Day!

This morning we told Ava that we were having a green breakfast for St. Patrick's Day. She thought that it was great to be able to drop food coloring into the food. We had green waffles and green iced cinnamon rolls. Both were delicious.

At play group we had a going away party for one of the little girls that is moving to California. The girls were suppose to dress bright and sunny, so Ava wore her Hawaiian dress that my mom got her when they went to Hawaii last summer. These girls are so cute together.

They were panning for gold in tupperwear filled with peas and beans. Ava loved looking for her hidden gold (candy) and asks to do it often.

We love play group and St. Patrick's Day!!

Painting Together

I have wanted to add some letters to Ava's playroom for quite awhile now, and found some cardboard letters at Joanne's the other day that looked like they would work great.


Ava decided that she needed to help paint the letter "A".


She did a pretty good job, and loved getting all messy.

Snowshoe

For our date this last week we were able to go on a snowshoe hike. It was so nice to be outside enjoying the beautiful snow with one of my favorite people. Joel and I have not been on our snowshoes for a few years now, so it was fun to dust them off and use them again.


Joel hiked down to a creek, but did not realize the work it would take to hike back up.

It was such a nice hike. We will probably take Ava with us next year.

Painting

We went to polka-dot pottery for our family activity a few weeks ago. Ava absolutely loved it and asks to paint all the time now. She did a great job making a Christmas tree ornament. We will have to do this again for a family night. It was tons of fun and fairly reasonable in price.

Growing Up Too Fast

Time is just flying by these days. I cannot believe how independent Ava is becoming. She is definitely a little girl now. It is very bitter sweet. I love watching her develop and grow into such a sweet and beautiful little girl, but I wish it would slow down just a tad bit.


Ava loves crafts, so I try to do some sort of craft with her a few days a week. The last craft we did was making paper butterfly's. She loves to cut paper with scissors (I helped with the butterfly), and had tons of fun gluing on fuzzy balls.

The final product turned out pretty cute for a 2 year old.
