Flowers in her hair...

Joel just absolutely hates when people put huge flowers on baby girls heads, but I think that they can be pretty cute. I had my friend Beth pick me up some flowers when she was in Utah recently, and thought that I would try them out on Ava today. She is four weeks old and I thought that it would be fun to try to get some one month pictures of her. This is what she thinks of the hair flowers too...

Like father...like daughter. Maybe we will try again when she is in a better mood or sound asleep.

Ava meets cousin Maveric

My brother Eric, his wife Jenny and Maveric came to visit this weekend and meet Ava. Maveric had called earlier and told us that he wanted to come visit and hold baby Ava. When they arrived Ava was sleeping and we let Maveric get up on the bed to see her. He was so cute, and said Ava - night, night.

Jenny is due in a few months with their second child, so this was good practice for Maveric. This picture is of Jenny and Maveric holding Ava.

Maveric is almost two, and was pointing out all of Ava's face features.

We had a great time visiting with family this weekend. My other brother Dave came over for dinner with his wife Maria. I could spend every day with my brothers if I could. I only wish we all lived closer together.

Ava is doing so much better. She was able to get off of the home light therapy last week, and her and her parents loved that. She is changing everyday, and we cannot believe that our little girl is already over two weeks old. She is starting to hold her head up more, and we are amazed at how strong her neck is getting. We cannot imagine our lives without her. She brings both Joel and I so much joy each day. We both just stare at her all the time and cannot get over how much we love her and how cute she is.
